Brenda

A transplanted Southerner, Brenda has lived in Ashland since 1997. She's been the Accounts Payable and Payroll department at AOS since 2005. The employees love her on payday and are nice to her the rest of the time too. Brenda enjoys walking, hiking and biking, and appreciates the growers' markets and wineries in the Rogue Valley. She also loves to snorkel but hasn't found the Rogue Valley coral reefs yet.

Bryant came to the Ashland Outdoor Store in 2001 with experience in outdoor specialty retail and as an outdoor professional. He guided backpacking, rock climbing, and whitewater trips prior to attaining a B.S. in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Wisconsin. Bryant also attended a semester course in Patagonia, Chile with the National Outdoor Leadership School(NOLS). Since then, he has concentrated his efforts in making sure AOS customers have the best selections of technical gadgetry possible as Hardgoods Buyer since 2002. His passions include: Telemark and Cross Country Skiing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Rafting, Mountain and Road Biking, Backpacking, Rock Climbing, Fly Fishing, Photography, Samoyed dogs, good beer, great Tequila, and phenomenal live music!

Cathy is a native Oregonian and has worked in the Ashland Outdoor Store since 1999! She has been an avid fly fisher for the past 30 years and a member of the Ashland Rowing Club for 11 years. Currently, Cathy works part time so she can enjoy her hobbies and travel!


Davi

Davi grew up in Talent, Or. She graduated from SOU with a BA in International Studies and a minor in Hospitality Tourism. After a year abroad skiing in the Alps, Davi returned to her roots in Oregon. Her favorite activities include alpine skiing, face painting, and being outdoors. Her beverage of choice is a Stoli, soda, with a twist of lime and her favorite color is green.


David

David is from Ashland, OR. He has studied History at Portland State University, and after several years as a ski bum in central Idaho, he returned to pursue a bachelor's degree in Outdoor Leadership from Southern Oregon University. He is currently on a break from school, and loves being outside! His favorite outdoor activities are rock and alpine climbing, cycling, backcountry skiing, and backpacking. He enjoys dark beer, black coffee, and his favorite food is salad.

Having lived in 8 different states, Jeff is a bit of a nomad. He has a degree in Adventure Education from Prescott College, guided for Rainier Mountaineering Inc. for 3 years, and was on the Crystal Mountain Ski Patrol for 2 years. He is an avid rock climber, mountaineer, and skier. Jeff enjoys long, '5.fun' alpine rock climbs and never-ending, technical ski descents.

Mike

Mike lived just outside of Chicago until he was 8 years old. After a move to Clovis, California, he started spending much of his time in the Sierra Nevada Mountains at the Boy Scouts of America's Camp Chawanakee and exploring Yosemite National Park with friends and family. He achieved his Eagle Scout rank after high school and moved to Ashland Oregon, where he attended Southern Oregon University studying math and physics. Mike got his first job in the "real" world working at an outfitter in Medford, Oregon. Since that fateful day, he has been "outfitting" outdoor experts and enthusiasts for every kind of adventure. Mike has gained so much knowledge about outdoor equipment and pursuits that he has been nicknamed "Mikapedia" and even has his own Mikapedia facebook page. His favorite outdoor activities include backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, and mountain biking.

Sara was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, and from a young age found herself with a paddle in her hand or skis strapped to her feet. After exploring much of her home state via boat or foot, Sara moved south to Washington state to study biology and violin performance. After a brief stint as a zipline guide in Juneau and a winter in Mount Shasta, Sara moved to Ashland to play with the Rogue Valley Symphony. Her favorite activities include tropical field botany, preparing fine cuisine over an open fire, and diving into cold rivers on hot afternoons.

Terry

Terry is a seasonal worker at the store. She has worked for the past 32 years as a teacher for kids with special needs and has spent the past couple years helping out at the store when she can. One of her best outdoor experiences was a private 14 day raft trip down the Colorado River where she swam Lava Falls! Also, Terry claims she can cook minute rice in 30 seconds. So come in and ask her about it!
