Mountaineering

Here in the foothills of the Siskiyous, neighboring the Cascade Mountain range, we are surrounded by some amazing mountaineering opportunities. With so many options, it can be hard to decide which mountain to tackle! Difficulty levels of each climb typically range from moderate (think: hiking) to highly technical (think: expedition-level climbing). Most summits can be reached within one long day on the trail, but are nicely broken up into multi-day trips. Knowing the strength of your group and the difficulty of the terrain will best help you plan your excursion. On this page we have provided information on local peaks and what it will take for you and your climbing partners to reach the summit. We are constantly working to add new trips and reports, so continue to check back soon and often for recent updates.

Mountaineering is inherently dangerous. Please be sure to take all proper precautions and safety measures. Be confident in your climbing abilities, your self-arrest, and your ability to adjust to changing weather. Remember to constantly evaluate the risks that determine your progress.
